Better free up some inventory space, because in celebration of 30 years of the iconic survival horror gaming series, Capcom has unleashed the OG Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis on Steam.

Originally released in 1996, the critically acclaimed Resident Evil spawned a franchise that has gone on to sell more than 183 million units. Throughout the first three entries in the series, play as iconic characters like Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Claire Redfield as players solve puzzles, disarm traps, unravel mysteries, and face off against powerful creatures and enemies like Nemesis, Mr. X, the legendary Lickers and more. If you haven't experienced the games that genuinely reshaped the modern horror genre, now's your chance.

Per an official press release, the Steam versions of each Resident Evil game preserve the original experiences while also including enhancements and quality of life improvements to support compatibility with modern operating systems and controllers.

This year saw the release of the ninth mainline entry in the series, the critically acclaimed Resident Evil Requiem, which already has bonus content in development, including a mini game and story expansion DLC. Also expanding the Resident Evil universe this year is Zach Cregger's highly-anticipated movie version, which hits theaters on September 18 of this year.

Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis are all now available on Steam with a limited-time 50% discount available through Wednesday, April 15 at 10:00am PT.
