While the previous episode didn’t offer much by way of direct monster action, as we can see, this one isn’t messing around. While there’s still a great deal of mystery surrounding Titan X, it’s crystal clear that we’re looking at a massive threat to humanity. As the below teaser art promises, Kong is going to face off with the sea-dwelling beast before long. Let them fight!

In addition to this exclusive sneak peek at this week’s episode of Monarch, for a limited time you can get 1 month free of Apple TV just by clicking the link. So if you’re behind on the show and want to get caught up before Godzilla arrives, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. There’s still plenty of kaiju action coming our way before all’s said and done.

Apple is also high on the series overall. Aside from this season, the company has handed out a series order to a Monarch prequel series focused on the younger Lee Shaw. We’ve also got more MonsterVerse movies on the way, with Godzilla x Kong: Supernova set to hit theaters next year. As for the here and now? The synopsis for season 2 reads as follows:

“Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.”

The cast includes Anna Sawai as Cate, Kiersey Clemons as May, Mari Yamamoto as Keiko, Joe Tippett as Tim, Ren Watabe as Kentaro, Kurt Russell as Lee Shaw, Wyatt Russell as the younger Lee Shaw, Anders Holm as Bill Randa and Takehiro Hira as Hiro Randa. Executive producers include Tory Tunnell, Joby Harold, Chris Black, Jen Roskind, Andrew Colville, Matt Shakman and Lawrence Trilling.
