A Quiet Place star and director John Krasinski will return to write, direct and produce A Quiet Place Part III, and now we know who will star in the post-apocalyptic horror sequel.
Officially scheduled for release on July 30, 2027, A Quiet Place Part III has assembled an all-star cast, with Jack O'Connell (Sinners), Katy O'Brian (The Running Man, Queens of the Dead) and Jason Clarke (Oppenheimer) joining A Quiet Place series alum Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and Oscar winner Cillian Murphy.
Plot details remain under wraps, but A Quiet Place Part III is billed as a trilogy-capper and the sequel to A Quiet Place Part II, and not related to spin-off prequel A Quiet Place: Day One from Michael Sarnoski (Pig, the upcoming Death Stranding film).
Released in 2018, Krasinski's A Quiet Place introduced horror fans to a world inhabited by blind extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing. Krasinski starred in the first film, written by Heretic‘s Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, alongside Blunt, Jupe and Simmons, playing a family of survivors who have managed to stay alive by using American Sign Language to communicate. The pic was a hit, generating over $340 million at the global box office and spawning the aforementioned follow-ups. Murphy joined the 2020 sequel A Quiet Place Part II as reclusive survivor Emmett, a role he'll presumably be returning to in Part III.
A Quiet Place Part III will therefore be something of a 28 Years Later reunion for O'Connell and Murphy, who both starred in Nia DaCosta's The Bone Temple earlier this year.
Krasinski and Allyson Seeger’s Sunday Night Productions are producing A Quiet Place Part III with Platinum Dunes.
