Kino Lorber's new Blu-ray release of Black Zombie is therefore a must-have for any horror scholars, or anyone even tangentially interested in the oft-overlooked roots of our favorite genre.

If you can look at that cover art by Johnny Ryan and honestly say that Blowie is not a movie you want in your Blu-ray collection, then you might just straight up hate fun.

The “sexy horror film” from Ed Aldridge stars real-life adult performers Bishop Black, Gabriel Cross, Kali Sudhra, and Kayden Gray, and follows group of sex workers who rent a mansion in the middle of nowhere to shoot OnlyFans content. After a tragic accident, they are stalked by Blowie – the doll-faced killer.

Dark Star Films' Blu-ray release of Blowie comes with a Behind the Mask featurette detailing the, err, ins and outs of the film.

One of Takashi Miike's most weird and wonderful movies (which is saying a lot for a filmography that includes Audition, Visitor Q and Ichi the Killer) is getting a historical release from New Wave Video, with a deluxe boxset containing a brand new 4K restoration from the only surviving 35mm copy.

Show Aikawa stars in the blend of psychological horror, pitch-black comedy, and Lynchian surrealism, which follows a yakuza enforcer tasked with disposing of his increasingly unstable mentor, Ozaki. To describe what happens next is fruitless; just take the journey and see for yourself.

New Wave Video's new release of Gozu comes with new interviews with Miike and writer Sakichi Sato, new written appreciation, video essays, commentary and more.

The late, great David Lynch was so committed to Michael Almereyda's arthouse vampire horror Nadja that when funding fell through, he financed the entire film himself. Despite this, Nadja remains relatively underseen and underappreciated, a status that will surely change with Radiance Films' gorgeous new release.

Radiance's new release of Nadja comes with new critical writing on the film, new interviews, plus a tour of the film's key locations with the one and only Michael Gingold.

Pre-order Nadja here for a November 16 release.

Two deluxe editions of Takashi Miike movies on one list may seem excessive, but few filmmakers do excess so well. Miike's horror crime miniseries MPD Psycho gets its Blu-ray debut courtesy of Umbrella Entertainment, perfect timing for when you're finished bingeing Carrie and Below.

Adapted from a manga by Eiji Otsuka, MPD Psycho follows a detective who, after seeing his wife killed by a serial killer, develops multiple personality disorder, which complicates matters as he goes hunting for his wife's murderer. A challenging, but rewarding watch, and undoubtedly one of Miike's more fascinating works.

Umbrella's new release of MPD Psycho comes with a new interview with Otsuka, plus a 48-page book featuring behind the scenes material and essays.
