The Addams Family just keeps on growing. Netflix has revealed three more guest stars for the third season of their hit series Wednesday as production continues in Ireland: Lena Headey, Brat Pack member Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance, best known for playing Trent Crimm (of The Independent) on Ted Lasso.
No details about who the new additions will be playing have been released, though they join an ever-expanding star-studded cast for Season 3. Also appearing in the new season are Eva Green, Winona Ryder, and Chris Sarandon — can you say horror royalty? — as well as Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer. It’s entirely possible that the three new additions to the cast could be playing more members of the Nevermore staff — or will the Tim Burton series push things even farther and expand the Addams Family even more?
Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Wednesday takes the titular eldest daughter of the Addams Family out of her usual circumstances and brings her to Nevermore Academy, a place for special kids with unique abilities. Season 3 will supposedly revolve around Wednesday’s connection to her estranged aunt Ophelia Frump, played by Green, though explicit details have not been released.

Season 3 will see the return of Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, along with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán playing her parents Morticia and Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as her brother Pugsley, Emma Myers as her best friend Enid, and Joanna Lumley and Fred Armisen as Grandmama and Uncle Fester.
This isn’t the only Addams Family related project Gough and Millar have under their belt though. It was reported in August 2025 that the two are also developing an animated film based on the classic characters for Amazon MGM Studios, entirely unconnected to the previous animated films and their popular Netflix series.
