As previously reported, Universal Orlando is set to open the Universal Epic Universe, a new multi-world theme park experience, including the Universal Monsters-themed Dark Universe, which will reportedly be open to the public on May 22, 2025.
According to a new post on the Universal Orlando blog, guests can start to plan their 2025 trip to Universal Orlando as soon as next week, as the first phase of ticket products and packages that include access to Universal Epic Universe will go on sale. According to a press release, those first week perks include:
- A variety of multi-day tickets and vacation packages that include three, four or five days of admission to Universalโs theme parks โ including one day admission to Epic Universe. These products will go on sale on Tuesday, October 22.
- Reservations for Universal Helios Grand Hotel will open on Tuesday, October 22 for stays beginning May 22, 2025.
- Annual Passholders have the exclusive opportunity to purchase single-day tickets to Universal Epic Universe before they go on sale to the general public. Passholders can take advantage of this priority opportunity beginning Thursday, October 24.

Here, youโll find Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment and Curse of the Werewolf, two thrilling attractions themed to the classic Universal Monsters.
Reporting on the news earlier today, Variety let us know that the Universal Epic Universe will center around Loews Hotelโs Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a 500-room property that will offer โone-of-a-kind viewsโ and feature a dedicated entrance into Epic Universe for hotel guests.
Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, expressed her excitement:
โThis is such a pivotal moment for our destination, and weโre thrilled to welcome guests to Epic Universe next year […] With the addition of this spectacular new theme park, our guests will embark on an unforgettable vacation experience with a weekโs worth of thrills that will be nothing short of epic! Our Universe will never be the same.โ
The Dark Universe marks the cherry on top of an exciting year for fans of the classic Universal Monsters, following Radio Silence's Abigal and more exciting news of Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man.
