Thomasin McKenzie And Katie Douglas To Star In Trilogy-Starter THE RULE OF THREE

The first of three new movies is based on Sam Ripleyโ€™s novel of the same name.

Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in SohoEileen) and Katie Douglas (Clown in a Cornfield) are set to star in The Rule of Three, an upcoming horror from Smile producers Temple Hill Entertainment and Protagonist Pictures, per Deadline.

The first instalment in a what is set to be a new horror trilogy, The Rule of Three is adapted from Sam Ripleyโ€™s thriller novel of the same name, and will be directed by James Roday Rodriguez (Gravy). Protagonist is launching sales at the upcoming Cannes market.

In The Rule of Three, adapted from a screenplay by Todd Harthan (ABCโ€™s High Potential) and Rodriguez:

โ€œBeware, Beware, The Rule of Three, Itโ€™s coming for you, like it came for meโ€ฆ Are Amy (Douglas) and her family plagued by a deadly curse? Every three years, death strikes under mysterious circumstances, horrifically killing family members. Itโ€™s almost three years to the day since Amyโ€™s parentsโ€™ death, and Amy realises the curse must strike her next. Behind the scenes, Deadline confirm that Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Isaac Klausner will produce for Temple Hill, with Hal Sadoff and George Berman executive-producing. Dave Bishop, James Pugh and George Hamilton serve as executive producers for Protagonist, in collaboration with Rodriguez and Harthanโ€™s new shingle, Taft Tennis.
