Body horror is back and better than ever, baby. Chroma released the first trailer for The Restoration at Grayson Manor, which hits theaters this October before coming to VOD this winter, bringing with it a new meaning for the phrase “idle hands.”
Directed by Glenn McQuaid, who co-wrote the film with Clay McLeod Chapman, The Restoration at Grayson Manor stars Chris Colfer, Alice Krige, Daniel Adegboyega, Declan Reynolds, Gabriela Garcia Vargas, Matthew McMahon, Issac Cairns, and Dave Byrne. The film’s synopsis is as follows:
Glee’s Chris Colfer stars as Boyd Grayson, a hedonistic heir who torments his legacy-obsessed mother, played by genre icon Alice Krige. When an accident leaves Boyd handless, she rebuilds him with prosthetics wired to his subconscious, hands that act on his most violent urges. Inside their decaying Gothic estate, those hands unleash horrors on Grayson Manor.
The film is produced by Deirdre Levins, John McDonnell, and Brendan McCarthy, alongside Thomas Herbert and Florian Brüning. Colfer and McQuaid will appear at select screenings of the film for post-show Q&As, with details to be announced at a later date.
