New THE LIFE OF CHUCK Trailer Teases Another Mike Flanagan Tearjerker

NEON will release the Stephen King adaptation in theaters on June 6.

If NEON's new trailer for The Life of Chuck is anything to go by, it looks like we're in for another emotional rollercoaster from Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass).

Hitting theaters on June 6, the genre-bending The Life of Chuck is based on the short story of the same name by Stephen King, originally published in the collection If It Bleeds, which is made up of three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles โ€œChuckโ€ Krantz in reverse, beginning with his death from a brain tumor at 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.

Tom Hiddleston, Jacob Tremblay and Benjamin Pajak all star as the titular character at different stages of life.

Starring alongside Hiddleston, Tremblay and Pajak is a stacked cast including Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillรฉn, Kate Siegel, Annalise Basso, Mia Sara, David Dastmalchian, Heather Langenkamp, Rahul Kohli, Matt Biedel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Michael Trucco, Violet McGraw and Molly C. Quinn. Nick Offerman plays the part of the Narrator.

Following a People's Choice Award win at Toronto International Film Festival last year, The Life of Chuck has been racking up rave reviews across the fest scene, with Collider even calling it a strong contender for “the best Stephen King film ever made“. Flanagan knows a thing or two about great King adaptations after all, having previously directed Gerald's Game, and is currently working on a series adaptation of The Dark Tower and Carrie for Amazon.

Don't forget, you can also read more on The Life of Chuck in the upcoming issue of FANGORIA, which features a set visit exclusive from the late, great Scott Wampler (whom The Life of Chuck is dedicated to).
