If you're doom-scrolling right now, take a break from real-life horrors to feast your eyes on our exclusive trailer reveal of award-winning Internet-focussed indie horror It Needs Eyes.

From writer/director duo Zack Ogle (We Got a Monkeyโ€™s Paw, Death Has a Son) and Aaron Pagniano (We Got a Monkeyโ€™s Paw, Sunset on the River Styx),ย It Needs Eyes is described as a twisted coming-of-age thriller that reminds you youโ€™re not safe just because youโ€™re behind a screen. The digital horror follows stars Raquel Lebish, Isadora Leiva and Lydia Fiore, and follows Rowan, a teenager sent to stay with her aunt in a quiet Northeastern beach town after a traumatic event:

Sheltering indoors, she sinks into increasingly bizarreโ€”and often violentโ€”online content until she discovers a missing woman known only as โ€œFish Tooth.โ€ Convinced the woman is calling out through the screen for help, Rowan is drawn into a spiraling, screen-haunting mystery where digital obsession collides with real-world danger.

It Needs Eyes world-premiered to two sold-out screenings at Brazilโ€™s Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival, then continued its run at the Portland Horror Film Festival, winning the Goule dโ€™Or Best Feature award. Lebish received Best Lead Performer honors at Portlandโ€™s Queer Screams Film Festivalย and the film earned Best International Directors at Mexico Cityโ€™s Macabro International Horror Film Festival

It Needs Eyes will play at the following film festivals over the next couple of months:
