Following a hugely successful first film, Sydney Sweeney will be playing The Housemaid once again, and this time, she’s got a famous new boss. Lionsgate today announced that Oscar nominee and horror veteran Kirsten Dunst has joined the cast of the new sequel — now titled The Housemaid’s Secret

Character details for the new film are sparse, though a brief description of the film does give us some clues as to who Dunst will be playing. “In The Housemaid’s Secret, Millie returns,” it reads, “taking a job keeping house for a woman she’s never allowed to see—only to discover the truth behind the locked door that threatens to expose secrets far darker than her own.” Sweeney reprises her role as Millie, alongside Michele Morrone returning as Enzo.

The upcoming sequel will once again be helmed by Paul Feig, with writer Rebecca Sonnenshine returning to adapt the second book in Freida McFadden’s bestselling series of novels. The Housemaid’s Secret is produced by Feig and his partner Laura Fischer, Todd Lieberman, and Sweeney, with executive producers Carly Elter and Alex Young.

“It is a privilege to bring The Housemaid’s next chapter to the screen with Kirsten Dunst,” said Lionsgate’s Erin Westerman. “She is an icon. Her career reflects extraordinary range and fearlessness. Opposite the ever-magnetic Sydney Sweeney, she will be an electrifying force in a world where nothing is ever quite as it seems.”

Dunst is of course beloved by horror fans the world over for her childhood work in Interview With the Vampire, where she played the forever adolescent vampire Claudia alongside Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. She’s also featured in horror adjacent films like Melancholia and The Beguiled, as well as the psychological thriller film Woodshock
