THE DEVIL’S REJECTS Returning To Theaters With New Rob Zombie Intro

The 2005 blood-soaked horror marked the second installment in the Firefly trilogy.

Rob Zombie's The Devil's Rejects is returning to theaters nationwide – this time in glorious 4K! – as part of 20th anniversary celebrations for the blood-soaked cult classic.

Presented by Fathom Entertainment and Lionsgate, the second installment in Zombieโ€™s infamous Firefly trilogy will screen for two nights only on Monday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 8, with an exclusive new introduction created by Rob Zombie, reflecting on the legacy and impact of The Devilโ€™s Rejects.

Released in 2005 as a sequel to 2003's House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects stars Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon Zombie, William Forsythe, Leslie Easterbrook and the late, great Sid Haig, and begins with a revenge-crazed sheriff and his men surrounding the Fireflysโ€™ homestead, guns blazing:

But when the smoke clears, Otis and his sister, Baby, have managed to escape. Taking refuge โ€” and hostages โ€” in a back-road motel, the most-wanted siblings rendezvous with their deranged partner in crime, Captain Spaulding, killing whoever happens to stand in their way. But as the body count mounts higher, Sheriff Wydell decides to โ€œcross the lineโ€ and take the law into his own hands, paving the way for one of the most terrifying, mayhem-filled showdowns in cinematic history.

While critic reviews were mixed upon release, The Devil's Rejects has gone on to reclaim love within the horror community – Stephen King himself is a fan, calling it his 9th best movie of 2005 and praising it for having “no redeeming social merit”.

Tickets for The Devilโ€™s Rejects 20th Anniversary will be available on August 22 at Fathom Entertainment and participating theater box offices. Head over to the official Fathom Entertainment site for more info!
