Lucio Fulci's supernatural horror masterpiece The Beyond is getting a deluxe 4K UHD release from Grindhouse Releasing.
The 6-disc set comes stacked with over 20 hours of bonus features including Fabio Frizzi's alternate “Composer's Cut”, the edited U.S. version known as 7 Doors of Death, plus an abundance of newly produced extras (listed below).
Released in 1981, The Beyond marked the second film in Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy, sandwiched between 1980's City of the Living Dead and The House by the Cemetery later in 1981. Regarded by many as one of the Italian horror greats (everyone from Joe Bob Briggs to Guillermo del Toro is a fan), The Beyond stars Catriona MacColl as the heir of a haunted hotel in Louisiana that may or may not be a portal to Hell.
