The worlds of Smile andย A Quiet Place are expanding into comic book form, with IDW Dark unleashing two offshoots of the hit horror franchises, as well as original horror comic titles The Exorcism at Buckingham Palace and Operation: Iron Coffin.

Reporting the news exclusively earlier today, Entertainment Weekly reveals thatย Smile: For the Camera, from writer Hannah Rose May (Roguesโ€™ Gallery, The Exorcism at 1600 Penn) and artist Miriana Puglia (Red Sonja, Gargoyles), will hit stands in February, and is set in the same universe as Parker Finn's Smile andย Smile 2, and follows a group of international models in New York amid Fashion Week festivities when they're stalked by the Smile Entity.

Per May in a new statement to EW:

Like how Smile 2 took us inside the world of a present day pop star, our series throws it back to the early 2000s and drops the Entity right into the ruthless world of the modeling industry,”

May also penned The Exorcism at Buckingham Palace, a sequel to The Exorcism at 1600 Penn, which followed the United States' first female president as she grappled with demonic entities plaguing the White House. May returns as the writer, alongside chief artist Kelsey Ramsay (Godzilla: Heist, Dark Spaces: Good Deeds), to tackle a new horror story about London's royal residence and its shocking family curse.

Next up is A Quiet Place: Storm Warning, hitting stands next March from writer and layout artist Phil Hester (Gotham City: Year One, Swamp Thing) and artist Ryan Kelly (Lucifer, Stranger Things), which is set in the post-apocalyptic world ofย A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place: Part II,ย A Quiet Place: Day One and the upcoming A Quiet Place: Part III, and takes us to a small island town in the midwest, Pearl, Iowa.

Per Hester:

โ€œAs a franchise, I think A Quiet Place stands out for two reasons […] Each movie is a relentless torrent of suspenseful action, but with a genuinely moving drama at its core. Secondly, it's an innovative formal exercise in visual storytelling without dialogue. With A Quiet Place: Storm Warning, I feel Ryan Kelly and I have replicated those qualities, but in an entirely different medium.”

And finally, EW reveals that the final confirmed new title (for now) is Operation: Iron Coffin from writer Kenny Porter (Superboy: The Man of Tomorrow, Batman: Urban Legends) and artist Tyrell Cannon (Fantastic Four Fanfare, The Schlub) ย which is set for release in July 2026, which involves Dracula fighting Nazis on a train during World War II.
