Get your sleeping bags ready, because On Set Cinema is heading to Camp Arawak. As a part of their ongoing series screening classic horror films at the locations they were made, the company is hosting a special Sleepaway Camp celebration this fall, giving audiences the chance to feel like kids again at one of the deadliest summer camps in movie history.
Taking place on September 11 and 12, the Sleepaway Camp experience takes guests to Argyle, New York, in the wilderness location where Camp Arawak once stood. Starting at $175 per person or $325 for both days, the event features a guided walking tour of the film’s iconic (and bloody) locations, access to swim and kayak on the lake featured in the film, a campfire complete with s’mores, and a screening of the film on the lawn where its infamous ending took place. Tickets also include access to overnight camping if guests choose to stay, though they’ll have to bring their own tent and camping equipment.

The event will also feature two very special guests! The first is film historian Jeff Hayes, attending on September 11 with copies of his book Sleepaway Camp: Making the Movie and Reigniting the Campfire available to sign. The other is star Loris Diran, whose character Billy (and his incredible shorts) inspired the iconic line “Eat shit and live, Bill.” In his first fan event in 25 years, Diran will participate in an autograph signing, Q&A, and special photo op sessions at the film’s baseball field with all attendees.
This event celebrating Sleepaway Camp is just the latest in a long line of events hosted by On-Set Cinema, diving deeper into horror films than any other company. This year, they’re also hosting screenings of the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot, Halloween Kills, The Mothman Prophecies, My Bloody Valentine, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
