As it continues to make waves this awards season, Sinners is once again returning to theaters. A new interview with cast members Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Miles Caton on CBS Mornings confirms that the Chainsaw Award-winning film will be returning to cinemas starting January 23, just ahead of the anticipated timeframe for Oscar nominations being announced.ย

This should come as little surprise to anyone whoโ€™s been paying attention to the filmโ€™s performance this awards season. After winning Best Wide Release at this yearโ€™s Chainsaw Awards, among many other accolades, the film was named one of AFIโ€™s Top 10 films of 2025, and won numerous other awards, including Best Score and Best Original Screenplay at the Criticsโ€™ Choice Awards, Best Score at the Golden Globes, and Outstanding Supporting Performance for Mosaku at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. The filmโ€™s soundtrack is also nominated for six Grammy Awards.

โ€œThat replay value, the fact that [fans] wanted to see it again and again, just means the world to us as a crew and a cast,โ€ Jordan told CBS host Gayle King.

Also starring Hailee Steinfeld, Jack Oโ€™Connell, Lola Kirke, Delroy Lindo, and more, Sinners earned just over $274 million domestically, with an international haul of $85 million, launching it over $361 million globally. In addition to winning over audiences, the filmโ€™s Rotten Tomatoes score โ€” for as much as anyone can put credence in an aggregator โ€” remains high, earning a clean 97 percent, as well as an A on CinemaScore, the highest rating for any original horror film ever.

FANGORIAโ€™s own BJ Colangelo praised the film, calling it a โ€œsweaty, sexy, blood-soaked success,โ€ a tale that โ€œboldly examines the impact of what happens when the Other is not a misunderstood outcast but instead a genuine threat whose corruptive infiltration only leads to death and destruction.โ€ If thatโ€™s not a rousing endorsement to check out the film if you havenโ€™t already, I donโ€™t know what is.

Sinners returns to theaters on January 23. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more information on the filmโ€™s awards presence as it arrives.
