Shelby Oaks, the debut feature from prolific YouTuber and critic Chris Stuckmann, hits theaters on October 3 via NEON, with today bringing a new trailer for the Mike Flanaganโproduced documentary-found footage horror.
Starring Camille Sullivan (Hunter Hunter), Brendan Sexton III (Donโt Breathe 2) and Sarah Durn (Where the Crawdads Sing), Shelby Oaks follows Mia (Sullivan) as she frantically searches for her sister Riley (Durn), who ominously disappeared in the last tape of her investigative series, โParanormal Paranoidsโ. As Mia uncovers new and disturbing leads related to Rileyโs disappearance, she uncovers evidence of a hidden supernatural evil dating all the way back to her and Rileyโs childhood.
Producers on Shelby Oaks are Stuckmann, Aaron B. Koontz, Ashleigh Snead, and Cameron Burns for Paper Street Pictures, and joining Flanagan in executive producer roles are Trevor Macy and Melinda Nishioka for Intrepid Pictures, alongside Adam F. Goldberg, Paul Holbrook, Sean E. DeMott and Tony Killough.
Following a $1.39 million Kickstarter campaign, Shelby Oaks kicked off a successful festival run last year at both Fantastia and London's FrightFest, before being re-edited earlier this year by Brett W. Bachman (Mandy, Pig, Color Out of Space) to include โmore gore and violenceโ.
