Our exclusive excerpt comes from the book’s chapter on The Conjuring, the 2013 supernatural horror film from which the book draws part of its name. The book tracks the beginnings of the popular horror franchise — which wraps up this week with The Conjuring: Last Rites — which spawned from the true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, two paranormal investigators tied to such infamous hauntings as the Annabelle doll and the Amityville tragedy.
