In case your watchlist isnโt already bursting with horror to watch (or rewatch!) as we hit October and Halloween approaches, thereโs yet another channel to add to your list for all things spooky and scary. NYX Media Corporation will be launching the new Scream TV channel on October 13, with a round-the-clock stream of iconic and underrated hits for you to peruse.
The free-to-air and free-to-stream channel will be available wherever you watch movies and TV, streaming through the DistroTV app on any Roku or Amazon Fire TV, as well as on mobile for any iOS or Android users. (Though why youโd want to watch a movie on your phone is beyond us.) The goal of the channel is to bring โrarely broadcast masterpieces, TV shows, documentaries, and moreโ to viewersโ eyes, as well as more than a few classics.
While the channelโs catalogue will continue to expand in the coming months, itโs already set with an impressive amount of international titles, including 13 Ghosts, Suspiria, Black Sunday, Demons, and Lucio Fulciโs Zombie, as well as Pieces, House at the Edge of the Park, Halloween, The Evil Dead, Phantom of the Opera (1925), and Nosferatu, with even more titles like The Taking of Deborah Logan and Black Christmas coming soon.
There will also be plenty of daytime programming for those whose tastes are a bit more tame, including episodes of Tales of the Unexpected, One Step Beyond, and Casper: The Friendly Ghost, as well as a brand new series, Noodle & Bun. Scream TV will also be featuring horror shorts to add to its collection, as well as a handful of yet to be announced original series.
โWe are so excited to launch SCREAM TV and bring our unique horror entertainment experience to the fans across North America for free,โ says NYX Media Corporation CEO Corinne Ferguson. โOne of our passions as horror fans is to painstakingly craft a journey through the horror genre worthy of the viewer's time every night and 24/7. Our programming is done with the utmost respect towards our viewer's time โ which we feel is one of the most precious commodities โ and we want the viewer to have the best experience possible, so lean back and let us entertain you. SCREAM TV also has great respect for the content creators, and we are excited to share the success of the film on our channel with them, both in terms of publicity and financial aspects. We really want the content creators to feel respected, valued and appreciated too. At SCREAM TV, there truly is something for every type of horror fan, even the young ones, so tune in.โ
The Scream TV channel will be available for free starting on October 13.
