Earlier this month, Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures teased some exciting Re-Animator news, with Bloody Disgusting today confirming that Stuart Gordon's sci-fi horror classic is getting a brand new 4K UHD restoration in celebration of its 40th anniversary.

Not just one though – fans can choose between four editions, all of which contain new and previously released legacy extras.

Starring FANGORIA faves Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs, the latter as a medical student who has invented a reagent which can re-animate deceased bodies, 1985's Re-Animator is a bonafide cult classic, spawning sequels, musicals, comics and more.

The legendary Brian Yuzna, who worked as producer on Re-Animator, had this to say of the upcoming release:

“I’m excited about the 40th Anniversary 4K UHD Blu-ray release of Re-Animator — it looks great! Especially if you have a big screen!
