Popcorn Frights Film Festival's annual Wicked Weekend event returns to Fort Lauderdale's historic Gateway Theater from September 25 – 28, with today revealing six features playing in celebration of the upcoming creepy season.

Opening the weekend is Sisu: Road to Revenge, the high-octane sequel to 2022's Sisu from director Jalmari Helander. Stephen Lang stars as a ruthless Red Army commander on the hunt for “the man who refuses to die”, Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila).

Headlining the Wicked Weekend is NEON's Shelby Oaks, the found-footage debut from YouTuber Chris Stuckmann, that follows a woman searching for her sister who ominously disappeared in the last tape of her investigative series, โ€˜Paranormal Paranoidsโ€™.

Next on the lineup is Vicious, from The Strangers director Bryan Bertino, which stars Dakota Fanning as a woman in possession of a mysterious box that triggers a chilling ritual demanding a sacrifice of love, hate, and need.

Johnny Ryan and Todd Rohal's Fuck My Son brings the grotesqueries to Wicked Weekend (as you can probably guess by the name), a twisted kidnapping saga which Popcorn Frights describes as nauseating, hilarious, and horrifying.

Also playing is Mercedes Bryce Morgan's erotic thriller Bone Lake, which follows a coupleโ€™s romantic vacation at a secluded lakeside estate which is upended when they are forced to share the mansion with a mysterious and attractive couple.

Rounding out the program is Shudder's V/H/S/HALLOWEEN, the latest in the found-footage anthology series that features new shorts from Bryan M. Ferguson (Pumpkin Guts) Casper Kelly (Too Many Cooks, Adult Swim Yule Log), Micheline Pitt-Norman & R.H. Norman (Cosmetic), Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell, Queen of Earth), Paco Plaza (REC, Verรณnica) and Anna Zlokovic (Appendage).
