This past weekend The Kingcast held a live show at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX. The guest was genre filmmaker Mike P. Nelson who was at the fest for his new flick, a giant killer snake tale called Beware Boiuna starring Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira, and Kingcast alum Logan Marshall-Green. It must also be noted that Mike was just announced as the director taking over the SAW franchise. He’s a good dude and joined Vespe on stage at the raucous Highball to talk a bit about Joe Hill and Stephen King’s collaboration: Throttle, a story he’s actively trying to get the rights to. We also pit his huge constrictor antagonist from Beware Boiuna against some large Stephen King creations and talk through who might come out on top. It’s a fun chat with a noisy crowd, the exact kind of thing you expect from a live show.If you like bonus episodes like this, make sure to sign up for our Patreon at www.patreon.com/thekingcast where you’ll get first access to all bonus eps that eventually make their way to the main feed and a ton that stay exclusive to the Patreon. It’s the single best way to support the show.Catch Beware Boiuna in theaters October 2nd! Many thanks to Lionsgate and Mike for showing up for this chat!
