In what came as a surprise to absolutely no one, Ryan Coogler’s vampire film Sinners took home numerous accolades at this year’s Academy Awards — and if you don’t want to scroll through long lists of every winner to find out exactly what awards it took home, never fear. FANGORIA has a list of every award the blockbuster film won tonight right here.

In total, Sinners won 4 Academy Awards from sixteen nominations: Best Original Screenplay, Best Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan. This amounts to over two hundred awards total during the 2025-2026 awards season, also including two Actor Awards (formerly the SAG-AFTRA Awards), three BAFTA Awards, four Critics’ Choice Awards, two Golden Globes, and four Chainsaw Awards.

This marks the end of a phenomenal run for Sinners, both in theaters as well as during awards season. The film earned $370 million at the global box office, and collectively earned over two hundred awards from various voting bodies across the industry. Among them are two Actor Awards (formerly the SAG-AFTRA Awards), three BAFTA Awards, four Critics’ Choice Awards, two Golden Globes, and of course, four Chainsaw Awards.

This year’s awards season massively changed how voting bodies in Hollywood see horror films. After years of ignoring memorable performances and unbelievable films, the Academy may finally be giving horror films their due — and not just with Sinners. Weapons, Frankenstein, Bugonia, and The Ugly Stepsister all received nominations this year, following up on The Substance earning several nods at last year’s ceremony.

The FANGORIA team congratulates the folks behind Sinners on everything they’ve achieved. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
