If you didn’t manage to catch Renfield in theaters, worry not, because Universal Pictures have announced today that Chris McKay‘s horror comedy will make its streaming premiere exclusively on Peacock on June 9.

Starring Nicolas Cage as Dracula and Nicholas Hoult as his titular long-suffering assistant, Renfield hit theaters earlier this year on April 14:

For centuries, Renfield has slavishly served Dracula by procuring his master’s prey and doing his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, Renfield is ready to look for a new life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness, if only he can figure out how to end the toxic, co-dependent relationship…

Awkwafina and Shohreh Aghdashloo also starred, with a script from Ryan Ridley. McKay, Samantha Nisenboim, Bryan Furst, Sean Furst, Kirkman and David Alpert produced, with Todd Lewis as exec producer.

Notably, Renfield helped to kick off the Universal Monsters renaissance as the studio look to bring their classic characters to a modern audience. We’ve also got André Øvredal’s The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Radio Silence’s untitled monster thriller and a revamp of The Mole People to look forward to from this slate of reimagined stories.

Although Renfield wasn’t a particularly huge box office hit (grossing just over $25 million), reviews have praised Cage and Hoult’s performances.

For all you fans of physical media, Renfield will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD on June 6, with a whole host of extras including extended and deleted scenes, audio commentary, alternate takes and featurettes dedicated to the grisly FX that granted the film its R-rating.

So sit back, relax, grab yourself a bowl of bugs and get Renfield on your watchlist for next week.
