If youโ€™re like me and hankering for a new vampire movie, RLJE Films has the perfect offering for you. Theyโ€™ve just announced that Night Patrol, the brand new supernatural police thriller starring Jermaine Fowler and Justin Long, is set to hit theaters next year, bringing with it a brand new poster with the cheeky slogan โ€œdefang the police.โ€

The film, which also stars RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux, will have its premiere tomorrow at this yearโ€™s Fantastic Fest, before heading to Beyond Fest on September 28. After that, general audiences will have to wait a while, as Night Patrolโ€™s wide release date is officially set for January 16, 2026. The filmโ€™s logline is as follows:

An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the areaโ€™s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.

The new poster echoes the seedy LA-set thrillers of yearsโ€™ past, putting its own spin on the police story with a colorful vampire skull on a black background, the brain cavity filled not with bone but with the scene of a stick-up. It doesnโ€™t give away much about the film itself, but that โ€œdefang the policeโ€ slogan hints at more than Fowler and Longโ€™s characters bargained for.

Night Patrol โ€” not to be confused with the 1984 comedy of the same name starring The Exorcistโ€™s Linda Blair โ€” is directed by Ryan Prows, who co-wrote the script with Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo, and Jake Gibson. The group previously collaborated on Lowlife, Prowsโ€™ 2017 film about an organ harvesting scheme gone wrong, also starring Micheaux.

Night Patrol hits theaters on January 16, 2026. Check out the new poster below:
