It seems like every week or so, a fear-mongering post goes viral lamenting the death of physical media. Us horror fans know for a fact that isn't true, and we'd happily refute it if we weren't so busy alphabetizing our Blu-ray collection. With so many boutique labels offering a huge variety of collector's and limited edition releases of horror movies every month, it's a veritable feast out there for those who appreciate the physical sensation of owning your favorite movie – or even a total blind buy – in a tangible, touchable format. Let's run down a few 4K and Blu-ray highlights that are available to pre-order now for a November release.

The Blair Witch Project (Limited Edition 2-Disc Blu-ray) -ย Second Sight Films
UK-based boutique label Second Sight continue to kill it with their releases this year, following up their highly-anticipated 4K restoration of Robert Harmon'sย The Hitcher with the director and producer-approved version of Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sร nchez'sย The Blair Witch Project. Released in 1999, the seminal found footage movie changed the face of modern horror as we know it but had yet to get the physical media release it deserves – until now. Second Sight's edition will be, according to producer Mike Monello, the first time The Blair Witch Project has been properly transferred from the original 16mm source material. As always with Second Sight, the release comes absolutely jam-packed with extras, including a brand new documentary fromย Host‘s Jed Shepherd. There's also a standard release for those who just want the movie. As this release is Region B only, you'll need to have a region free player if you're in the United States (worth the investment!)
Pre-order the Limited Edition set now before its November 11 release.
The Crowย (4K UHD + Blu-ray SteelBook Walmart Exclusive)
Rupert Sanders' gritty take on the Gothic horror action comic The Crow may have been divisive among fans of the 1994 original movie, but it has still found itself an impressive fanbase who fell head over heels for Bill Skarsgรฅrd and FKA Twigs' tragically doomed lovers Eric Draven and Shelley Webster. The 4K UHD release comes with special features including an extensive Making Of and deleted scenes.
You can pre-order The Crow via Walmart now for a November 5 release.
Elvira: Mistress of the Darkย (Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD) - Arrow Films
The Queen of Halloween's 1988 big screen debut gets the limited edition treatment with Arrow's Elvira: Mistress of the Dark. Although reviews were mixed at the time of release, this gloriously campy ย comedy horror has gone on to become a cult classic well deserving of such a gorgeous physical media release. Arrow's Limited Edition 4K has a ton of special features, including an audio commentary with Elvira herself, Cassandra Peterson and Chastity Pariah Edie McClurg, plus commentary and introduction by director James Signorelli.
Pre-orders forย Elvira: Mistress of the Dark are now live for the release on November 11.
Godzillaย (4K UHD + Blu-ray) - The Criterion Collection
Ishirล Honda's seminal 1954 kaiju classicย Godzilla has been part of The Criterion Collection for some years, but before now had never had its own 4K UHD release. Released in celebration ofย Godzilla‘s 70th anniversary, the Criterion release comes with a load of special features including an interview with legendary Godzilla score composer Akira Ifukube, a featurette detailing Godzillaโs photographic effects and an audio essay that dives into the real-life event that inspiredย Godzilla. Plus, it's the Criterion Collection, so you know this is going to be the definitive restoration going forward.
Godzilla is now available to pre-order for a November 5 release.
Godzilla Minus Oneย (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray SteelBook) - Toho
In a serendipitous turn of fate, both the first and the most recent Godzilla movies are getting the physical media upgrade they deserve this month, as Takashi Yamazaki's Oscar-winning kaiju epicย Godzilla Minus One gets a 4K UHD and Blu-ray SteelBook from Toho. Godzilla Minus One actually has a range of releases to choose from, and it's kind of a minefield trying to figure out which is which. Sadly, at the time of writing, none of the releases containย Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color, the monochromatic cut, AND English subtitles on the bonus features. However, given that not everything is guaranteed a physical media release these days (and especially movies that end up on Netflix), it's certainly worth getting the 4K UHD as it is. It's FANGORIA Chainsaw Award winner after all!
Godzilla Minus One pre-orders are now open for a November 19 release.
Hush (4K + Blu-ray Collector's Edition) - Scream Factory
It's been a long time coming, but Mike Flanagan's eye-wateringly tense 2016 cat-and-mouse thrillerย Hush is finally available for the first time ever in physical media format. Following their release ofย Hush onto digital platforms earlier this year (it had previously only been available on Netflix before the licence expired), Scream Factory are finally giving Flanafans the chance to own a bumper Collector's Edition release, that also includes the Flanagan-supervised black and white Shushย cut of the film, as well as new audio commentaries with Flanagan and stars Kate Siegel, Samantha Sloan, John Gallagher, Jr., and Michael Trucco.
Pre-orders forย Hush are now live, with the release being shipped on November 26.
Krampus: The Naughty Cutย (4K UHD Deluxe Limited Edition SteelBook) - Scream Factory
Whether they've been naughty or nice, Scream Factory's limited edition release of the festive frightenerย Krampus will make the perfect Christmas gift for the horror fan in your life. This massive set consists of a 4K UHD and Blu-ray SteelBook, a poster, aย Krampusย snow globe, a gingerbread man plushie and much more. Pre-orders for the full bells-and-whistlesย Krampus set can be made here for a November 19 release. Those just looking for the 4K without the extras can grab their pre-order here.
Suspiriaย (4K UHD & Blu-ray 3-Disc Hardbox) - Imprint
Those doubting what Luca Guadagnino could do with his plannedย American Psychoย should look no further to 2018's Suspiria to see how well he can handle a remake. Taking on Dario Argento's technicolor classic of the same name was a brave move, but Guadagnino's version, starring Dakota Johnson, Mia Goth and Tilda Swinton, was excellent in totally different ways. Muting the color palette to match the dreariness of Cold War-era Berlin, Guadagnino'sย Suspiria is an entirely different beast long deserving of a stacked physical media release. Imprint'sย Suspiria contains 3 discs full of special features, including a Making Of featurette, commentaries and a video essay by scholar Alexandra Heller-Nicholas.
Suspiria is now available for pre-order for a November 7 release via the Australia-based Imprint.
Tomieย (Limited Edition Blu-ray) - Arrow Films
Following their massive J-Horror Rising boxset release last month, Arrow are continuing to pump out the Japanese horror goodness with a series of standalone releases like this Limited Edition Blu-ray release of Tomie. Based on the iconic Junji Ito manga series of the same name, Ataru Oikawa's Tomie was the first in a series of sequels that follow the mysterious regenerative monster girl. Released for the first time on Blu-ray outside of Japan, Arrow'sย Tomie includes commentaries, a collector's booklet and stunning artwork on a reversible sleeve by artist Sara Deck.
As this release is Region B only, you'll need to have a region free player if you're in the United States. Pre-orders forย Tomie are now live for a November 18 release.
Trapย (4K UHD) - Warner Bros.
Any good Lady Raven stan will surely have M. Night Shyamalan's Trapย on pre-order already, but if you haven't, the 4K UHD from Warner Bros. is well worth grabbing a ticket for. Josh Hartnett stars as The Butcher in the serial killer thriller, that sees police assembly at a busy pop concert in order to catch him. Warner Bros. 4K UHD release contains deleted scenes and an extended concert scene, so you can enjoy more of Lady Raven (played by Saleka Shyamalan) in action.
Pre-orders forย Trap are now live before a release on November 5.
