Tatiana Maslany is spiraling hard. The Orphan Black alum is set to star in Apple TV’s new dark comedy thriller Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, which just released its first teaser, sending her down a rabbit hole that’ll make her former clones look like total child’s play.
The new series from David J. Rosen stars Maslany alongside New Girl alum Jake Hohnson, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg, Charlie Hall, Nola Wallace, Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, and Dolly De Leon. The series’ synopsis is as follows:
“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime — while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis — Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows up Maslany’s work with Osgood Perkins last year, a collaboration which produced roles in both The Monkey and Keeper. She’s also set to star in Perkins’ next film, The Young People, which arrives in theaters sometime this year.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is written and executive produced by Rosen, and directed by Halloween and The Exorcist: Believer helmer David Gordon Green. The series is also executive produced by Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon, Brad Dorros, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Elise Henderson. The show joins a number of horror and thriller projects premiering on Apple TV+ this year, including the Matthew Rhys-led Widow’s Bay and their series remake of Cape Fear.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed premieres on Apple TV+ on May 20.
