Found footage horror mystery Man Finds Tape hits select theaters and Digital on December 5, with Magnet Releasing today unveiling the first trailer for Peter Hall and Paul Gandersman's feature debut.
Starring Kelsey Pribilski, William Magnuson, John Gholson, Brian Villalobos, Graham Skipper and Nell Kessler, Man Finds Tape follows Lucas Page (Magnuson), whose viral YouTube channel “Man Finds Tape” features a series of creepy home videos:
When he reaches out to his sister, Lynn (Pribilski), with surveillance footage of a murder in their hometown, she reluctantly returns to help him investigate the homicide. In doing so, Lynn uncovers a disturbing secret tied to a decades-old supernatural phenomena that casts doubt on whether anyone in town can be trusted. The arrival of a stranger (Villalobos) with destructive intentions forces Lynn to confront her family’s role in a terrifying legend tied to a deadly monster stalking Larkin, TX.
Produced by The Endless and Something in the Dirt‘s Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson and executive produced by The Black Phone and Sinister‘s C. Robert Cargill, since its world premiere at Tribeca, Man Finds Tape has been enjoying a successful international festival run, playing at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Telluride Horror Show and the UK's Celluloid Screams, to name but a few.
Alongside Cargill, Jessica Cargill, Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer, Aram Tertzakian, Maxime Cottray and James Shapiro exec produced Man Finds Tape, with David Lawson Jr and Ashley Landavazo also producing.
