If youโre anything like us, youโve been anxiously awaiting the release of Mike Flanaganโs next film, his latest to adapt a Stephen King story. The Doctor Sleep director is at the helm of The Life of Chuck, starring Tom Hiddleston, and ahead of its summer release, Neon has just released a new poster for the film.
The poster is a solo shot of Hiddleston, dancing through what looks like a field of stars. With the tagline โevery life is a universe all its own,โ the design makes sense, as the film follows an ordinary man named Charles โChuckโ Krantz through three phases of his life. Little else is known about the plot of the film, even though itโs expanding on a short story, but critical reviews out of various festivals have lauded the film for being beautiful, emotional, and potentially Flanaganโs best film yet.
The upcoming film has an absolutely stacked cast, which aside from Hiddleston includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Annalise Basso, Benjamin Pajak, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Samantha Sloyan, Harvey Guillen, Jacob Tremblay, Kate Siegel, and Mark Hamill. Some are Flanagan favorites, but most are new to the game, which makes sense, since the film is a bit different from the director's usual horror fare.
The Life of Chuck is based on the short story of the same name by Stephen King, originally published in the collection If It Bleeds. Itโs one of numerous King films set to hit theaters soon โ thereโs also Autopsy Room Four, based on another of his stories, and The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright and starring Glen Powell.
The Life of Chuck hits theaters in June. Check out the new poster below:
