We love Larry Fessenden here at Fango, and we also love his production company, Glass Eye Pix, which celebrates forty years in business this year. To celebrate, the company is hosting a special “Glass Eye Pix-Palooza Con” next month, allowing fans access to a one-day-only brick and mortar store featuring some of their most beloved films.

Taking place on November 7 from noon to 11PM in Manhattan, the lovingly-nicknamed GEP-CON takes over Ideal Glass Studios on West Eight Street, in conjunction with IFC Center’s Optic Nerve series, which runs from October 28 to November 3 and shows a selection of films produced by the company, including Fessenden’s latest: Trauma, or Monsters All.

Available for purchase at the event are Blu-rays and 4K discs from Vinegar Syndrome and Dark Sky Films, as well as rare VHS tapes, and Blu-rays from Glass Eye’s new video label, featuring early work by directors like Ti West. Plenty of Glass Eye merchandise will also be for sale, including t-shirts, CD and vinyl editions of their films’ scores, Glass Eye Comix, and handcrafted Wendigo figurines made by James Felix McKenney. They’ll also have the one shot graphic novel The Damned and the Dangerous, written by Glenn McQuaid and Ted Geoghegan, with art by Brahn Revel.

But GEP-CON isn’t just a merch booth. On display they’ll also have costumes and props from Glass Eyes films, as well as posters from the company’s history, and digital displays showing mini-documentaries, behind the scenes footage, short films, and more. Several Glass Eye founders and filmmakers will also be in attendance for signings and photographs.

The evening caps off with a series of live events, including a performance of an episode from McQuaid and Fessenden’s audio drama series Tales From Beyond the Pale. Additional events have yet to be announced, but the event will end with a special birthday celebration honoring the legacy of Glass Eye Pix.
