Yet another survival thriller has hit the market, and this time, itโ€™s got two up and coming faces to lead it. Deadline reports that Mckenna Grace and Kiernan Shipka are set to lead The Nowhere Game, co-directed by David Charbonier and Justin Douglas Powell from a script by Alex Pototsky, which appeared on the 2023 edition of the Black List. The film will be the duoโ€™s fourth together, after The Boy Behind the Door, The Djinn, and Push

According to Deadline, The Nowhere Game's logline is as follows:

โ€œThe film follows Carin (Grace) and Allie (Shipka), whose road trip takes a harrowing turn when the two young women are kidnapped by a cold-blooded sadist and thrust into a brutal game of survival. With a short head start, Carin and Allie will be set loose in the forest with limited supplies while being hunted in front of an online audience watching in grim fascination.

With no sign of civilization and no way to call for help, the women rely on their wits and each other to evade capture. Navigating the hostile wilderness, they discover eerie clues left behind by previous โ€œcontestants,โ€ painting a grim picture of the stakes they face. As the hunter closes in, realization dawns on them: surviving isnโ€™t just improbable โ€” itโ€™s nearly impossible. Carin and Allie must shed their fear and transform from prey to predator to bring this twisted game to its final, bloody conclusion.โ€

The announcement comes just after Grace was announced as part of the cast for Scream 7, her latest venture into horror after appearing in both Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbsuters: Frozen Empire. Sheโ€™ll appear alongside a number of returning franchise faces, including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and Matthew Lillard, as well as fellow newcomers Joel McHale, Isabel May, and her fellow Ghostbusters star Celeste Oโ€™Connor, among others.

Shipkaโ€™s also coming off a run in multiple popular horror films, including a cameo in last yearโ€™s hit Longlegs, from director Osgood Perkins, as well as a leading role in the 2023 time travel slasher Totally Killer, which co-starred Heart Eyes star Olivia Holt.
