Ghostface returns for a seventh round of bloody mayhem as Scream 7 hits theaters on February 27, with Paramount Pictures today unveiling a new featurette in which director Kevin Williamson goes behind-the-scenes of the slasher sequel.

Williamson, who wrote the original Scream as well as Scream 2 and Scream 4, directs this time, and co-wrote the script with Guy Busick, who penned Radio Silence's Scream and Scream VI.

Scream 7 stars a ton of franchise alumni, including, of course, Neve Campbell as final girl Sidney Prescott (marking her return to the series after she was absent from Scream VI), Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy-Brown as Chad and Mindy Meeks-Martin respectively, both of whom can be seen in today's new featurette.

David Arquette, Scott Foley and scream king Matthew Lillard as Dewey,  Roman and Stu respectively will also all be returning, somehow, despite having met their own grisly fates in Scream films past.

New additions to the cast include Isabel May as Sidney's daughter, the adorably named Tatum Evans, McKenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Anna Camp ,Mark Consuelos , Joel McHale as Sidney's husband, and Ethan Embry.

An official logline for Scream 7 reads:

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

Today's new look at Scream 7 features a sneak peek at some of the slasher's grisly set pieces – whatever's happening at 0.27 seconds looks particularly insane. Check out the new featurette below, and for more, here's all the other 2026 horror movies we're excited for still to come this year.
