After months of waiting, we finally have our first look at the latest film in the Hell House LLC saga. Terror Films has just released the first teaser trailer for Hell House LLC: Lineage, which arrives in theaters โ a first for the formerly Shudder-exclusive franchise โ this August.
Hell House LLC: Lineage will see the return of numerous characters from other installments in the franchise, including the Carmichael siblings from Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor, as well as Elizabeth Vermilyea as Vanessa Shephard, the resurrected documentarian from Hell House LLC: Lake of Fire. The filmโs logline is as follows:
Haunted by visions and recurring nightmares years after a near-death experience, Vanessa Shepard finds herself living in the town of Abaddon, unable to break free from its unexplainable hold on her. When people around her suddenly and inexplicably begin to die, she soon uncovers her terrifying connection to the Abaddon Hotel, the Carmichael Manor and the mysterious murders that have been occurring for decades, long before Hell House LLC.
This installment of the franchise will also be shot as a narrative film, moving away from the found footage format that made the franchise so popular in the first place. โThis is by far the biggest Hell House of the series, so experiencing it in a theater is definitely the best way to consume the final chapter,โ said director Stephen Cognetti when the filmโs theatrical release was initially announced.
โFor the story, scope and scares I wanted to write in Lineage, found footage was going to be too restrictive to make the film that I wanted to make. I set out to make a Hell House movie like youโve never seen and I promise you wonโt be disappointed in the change of format.โ
Additionally, if fans want to catch up on the franchise before Lineage hits theaters, they can now do so totally for free. Terror Filmsโ YouTube channel, Shocks & Docs, has uploaded the first three films in the franchise for free, alongside several other full-length films like The Woods, Raw File, and Halloween Candy.
Hell House LLC: Lineage will premiere in theaters on August 20, and tickets are available for pre-order now. Check out the trailer below:
