Shudder is gearing up for the best time of the year, and you know what that means. Thatโs right, the horror streamer is debuting their Season of Screams event starting next week, and with it comes everybodyโs favorite twist on a holiday classic โ the Ghoul Log. FANGORIA is excited to premiere some exclusive behind-the-scenes images from the making of this yearโs holiday treat as the platform rounds out their massive tenth anniversary celebrations.
This yearโs Ghoul Log, appropriately titled Revenge of the Ghoul Log, has been resurrected by the Andujar Twins, the production design team behind the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, as well as Shudderโs own Birth/Rebirth. The hour-long video debuts on October 1, with plenty of spooky fall details in store, including a whole host of gourds alongside their jack-o-lantern friends, as well as skeletons and more.
But the Ghoul Log isnโt the only thing coming to Shudder for their Season of Screams. Beginning September 1, the platform is also getting a terrifying lineup of new films, including the acclaimed shark serial killer film Dangerous Animals, the all-new V/H/S/Halloween, Abrahamโs Boys, Night of the Reaper, Other, and House on Eden, as well as second seasons of The Boulet Brothersโ Dragula: Titans and The Creep Tapes, and a new Halloween special, Joe Bobโs Splatterween.
The streamer will also be reintroducing their popular Halloween Hotline this year, allowing viewers to get personalized horror movie picks from Shudderโs head of programming, Samuel Zimmerman. This comes alongside their iconic live watch parties, taking place every Friday at 9PM ET on Shudder TV, spotlighting new premieres and curated double features. Films included in this yearโs lineup include Dangerous Animals and The Furies, Night of the Reaper and Spoonful of Sugar, V/H/S/94 and Late Night With the Devil, and more.
