Blumhouse Reveals Official FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 Poster

The sequel to the 2023 horror hit releases in theaters on December 5.

Blumhouse has unveiled a new poster for Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the upcoming sequel to the 2023 horror hit based on the best-selling video game series of the same name.

Revealed at Sunday night's CCXP festival in Mexico City, the new poster confirms Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will release on December 5.

Returning for the sequel is director Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon), as well as stars Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio and Mary Stuart Masterson and Scream king Matthew Lillard who plays series antagonist William Afton. Jason Blum and Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon return to produce.

Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and Teo Briones (Final Destination Bloodlines) also join the sequel in undisclosed roles.

Plot details for the sequel are still under wraps, but last year, Lillard teased a little more of what fans can expect from the Freddy's sequel:

โ€œI will say that I think the filmmakers have done a great job of learning from the first movie of what fans want, and I think they're giving a lot more of that. It's going to be more exciting, and I think it's going to have more action. It's going to have a lot of character development stuff. It's hard to kiss around it. I think the story ends, and this movie ends in a really exciting way.โ€

Today's new poster gives a look at an item called a FazTalker, which will presumably play a key role in the upcoming sequel.
