Ice Cream Man, the upcoming horror fromย Hostel andย Thanksgiving gorehound Eli Roth, unveils its cast, as well as a first-look image that reveals star Ari Millen (Orphan Black) as the titular character.
Starring alongside Millen in what Roth describes as his most “insane and terrifying film to date“, areย Benjamin Byron Davis (Guardians of the Galaxy 3), Karen Cliche (Thanksgiving), Dylan Hawco (Heartland), Sarah Abbott (Black Mirror, The Body), Shiloh OโReilly (Thanksgiving), Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer (The Handmaidโs Tale), Charlie Storey (Thanksgiving) and Roth himself.
Written by Roth and longtime collaborator Noah Belson,ย Ice Cream Man, which is no relation to the 1995 Clint Howard-starring horror-comedy of the same name, follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.
Emmy-winning composer Brandon Roberts handles Ice Cream Man‘s score, with additional music provided by none other than Snoop Dogg, who is also collaborating with Roth on upcoming horror Don't Go In That House, Bitch! Prosthetic makeup effects come from Steve Newburn and Oscar winner Adrien Morot, who both worked with Roth on providing the grisly gore for Thanksgiving.
Here's what Roth has to say about today's cast reveal, and Ice Cream Man in general:
โI couldnโt be more excited about the incredible cast weโve assembled for Ice Cream Man […] Itโs surreal to see the idea Iโve had for over twenty years come to life โ and with this insanely talented cast, we get to deliver a film to horror fans thatโs as terrifying as Iโve always imagined.โ
Ice Cream Man is eyeing a 2026 theatrical release, with Roth's The Horror Section handling domestic rights and WME Independent handling the international side of things. Look out for more updates on the sweet and sinister pic as we get 'em.
