While Dead by Daylight has featured plenty of iconic killers from film and TV over the years, it’s now tackling some of the biggest villains in gaming history. Komani has announced that it’s partnered with the popular multiplayer game to introduce Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head and Castlevania’s Dracula to its popular 2v8 Trails, hunting side by side for the first time in gaming history.
Known in-game as The Executioner and The Dark Lord, both characters will feature in 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight from today, November 6, to November 20. Also included in the special event are Silent Hill character Cheryl Mason and Castlevania vampire hunter Trevor Belmont as playable Survivors, unlocked and available to play for all through the two-week event.
Survivors can also fight Pyramid Head and Dracula in style with new outfits inspired by Silent Hill and Castlevania. Trevor Belmont comes with a Legendary Outfit that brings his powerful descendant Richter Belmont into the fray, while Dracula receives a Scorched Terror Outfit that depicts what happens to a vampire when they step into the sun. On the Silent Hill side of things, Cheryl Mason has her Awakened Order Outfit, and Pyramid Head gets a Flayed Torturer Outfit, which transforms him into the “walking embodiment of suffering.”
Pyramid Head and Dracula are just the latest in a long line of killers to be made available in the online multiplayer game, which takes inspiration and features numerous DLCs from popular horror titles throughout film history. Slashers that have appeared in various forms in Dead by Daylight include Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers, Leatherface, Ghost Face, Pinhead, and Chucky, as well as Survivors in the form of Ash Williams, Ellen Ripley, Leon Kennedy, and Laurie Strode.
