Dead by Daylight is leveling up yet again — this time, in the real world. Behavior Interactive and Level 99 have teamed up to announce a new expansion to Dead by Daylight: The Board Game that arrives this summer, introducing new characters, maps, and three unique gameplay formats that’ll challenge even the most experienced Survivors.
The new expansion, titled Auris box, features two new characters for players to step into: a new killer named the Houndmaster, and survivor Taurie Cain. Two new maps will also be available for players to explore, and the game is introducing three-brand new format to switch things up: the two-player format Survive Alone, the team play format Survive Together with an automated killer, and Kill Alone, which allows for solo play as a killer against four automated survivors.
Players will also have a chance to obtain the titular Auris Box, a 10th anniversary collector’s storage box for all of their Dead by Daylight: The Board Game content — and there’s plenty of it, if you include the original base game, as well as previous expansions like Unbroken, Gatekeeper, Malicious, and Lightbringer.
This is, of course, just the latest expansion to the Dead by Daylight universe. The main multiplayer game has introduced numerous expansions in recent months, including a revamped Stranger Things addition, as well as characters from The Walking Dead, Five Nights at Freddy’s, and Silent Hill. They’ve also partnered with Titan Comics for a new miniseries about one of their most iconic killers, The Hillbilly, which hits shelves this month.
The campaign for Dead by Daylight: The Board Game’s Auris Box launches on Gamefound on June 16. For more information, you can check out their website.
