Backrooms is a 2026 horror film directed by Kane Parsons, based on the viral 4chan thread of the same name. It is nominated for Best Wide Release, Best Score, Best Lead Performance, Best First Feature, Best Creature FX, and Best Cinematography at the 2026 Chainsaw Awards.
Makeup designer Werner Pretorius, along with Felix Fox and Harlow MacFarlan, turned Nicolas Cage into the twisted titular serial killer of Osgood Perkins' Longlegs. Inspired by glam rock and botched plastic surgery, Pretorius work on Cage was made only more terrifying by the marketing decision to keep his appearance under wraps before the movie's release.
