While Maggie Gyllenhaal may have unleashed The Bride! earlier this year, she’s got some major competition. Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures have partnered to release a new 4K edition of Bride of Re-Animator, the sequel to the Stuart Gordon classic, complete with new special features and more.
Bride of Re-Animator stars Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott, Claude Earl Jones, Fabiana Udenio, David Gale, and Kathleen Kinmont. The film’s synopsis is as follows:
Eight months after the Miskatonic Massacre, Doctors Herbert West and Dan Cain are back – working as volunteer medics in a Peruvian civil war. But death is only the beginning: once home, West resumes his experiments, this time with a twisted new goal – to create life from spare parts and bring Dan’s late fiancée back as the ultimate re-animated creation.

Approved by director Brian Yuzna, the new 4K Ultra HD edition of Bride of Re-Animator comes from the original camera negative and features a host of new bonus features, including a special sixty minute documentary on the making of the film, as well as interviews with its stars, audio commentaries, making-of featurettes, and deleted scenes.
The new release is available in four special editions. Fans can purchase just the Blu-ray or 4K discs, which come with all the bonus features and an exclusive slipcover, or they can spring for one of the bonus editions. The deluxe edition box set (retailing for $80 USD) comes with both the 4K and Blu-ray editions of the film along with a hardcover book, five collector art cards, and a special box with j-card packaging, while the ultimate limited edition box set (retailing for $130 USD) comes with all of that plus a collectible statue of the film’s finger creature, which also doubles as a phone holder.
The 4K & Blu-ray editions of Bride of Re-Animator are available now.
