Loosely inspired by Ursula Le Guin's short story “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”, Those Who Walk Away follows Max (Booboo Stewart ) and Avery (Scarlett Sperduto) as they head out for their first date. When Avery suggests they visit a local haunted house, things take a turn. Within the abandoned house dwells a supernatural being referred to as the “Rotcreep”, a creature that rots your body and soul with a single touch. Max and Avery begin to realize the trauma they share may either save them or erupt into an unforgettable nightmare as they try to escape the sinister forces at play.
Directed by Robert Rippberger and co-written with Spencer Moleda, Those Who Walk Away is filmed in a series of long continuous takes to capture the eerie and bloodcurdling moral predicament of living high while others suffer. Check out the trailer below.
