9 Best Horror Movies On Netflix Right Now

This British series, from ITV, has ten episodes and is about the grandson of Dr. Henry Jekyll, the original character in Robert Louis Stevenson's Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Dr. Robert Jekyll is called to London after the death of his grandfather, and members of a mysterious organization called Tenebrae kill his adoptive father, Dr. Vishal Najaran, and most of his family in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Robert Jekyll is soon to learn more about what he really inherited from his grandfather, an evil and violent alter ego, and more about his father, Louis, who disappeared. Tom Bateman, Richard E. Grant, Enzo Cilenti, Tom Rhys Harries, Ace Bhatti,  and Natalie Gumede star in the series created by Charlie Higson. The series received complaints from viewers regarding the level of violence in the show, which aired earlier in the day. The fourth episode was delayed from its original air date due to violent content, so this isn't a tame TV version of the story.

Netflix has quietly added a Thai supernatural horror movie, Death Whisperer 3, and the first two movies in the series are also currently available on the streaming service.  In 1978, Yak, the hero of the last movie, who destroyed a powerful ghoul in the second film, is now faced with a Black Spirit that was created centuries ago after his youngest sister, Yee, disappears.

After performing a ritual to call the spirit of their deceased sister, Yam, for answers, Yak and Yad, Yak's pregnant sister, find out that Yee has been taken to a haunted forest even more dangerous than the one they faced before. Nadech Kugimiya, Denise Jelilcha Kapuan, Natcha Nina Jessica Padovan, and Kajbhandit Jaidee star in the third film in the series directed by Narit Yuvaboon.

Anne Hathaway, Jason Sudeikis, Dan Stevens, Austin Stowell, and Tim Blake Nelson star in Nacho Vigalondo's comedy horror film. A woman with an alcohol problem, Gloria, returns home after her life falls apart. She finds out that while she is drunk, she can manifest and control a monster, and is horrified by the destruction it causes. Her childhood friend finds that he can do the same thing, and Gloria must find a way to stop him.

Hathaway was sent the script for the film after director Jonathan Demme screened Ben Wheatley's A Field in England for her during a time when she felt uninspired as an actor. She asked her representatives to send her a script that was closer to Wheatley's film, and she agreed to star in Vigalondo's film.

The Black Phone will be added to Netflix on February 12 so that even more home viewers can watch the film directed by Scott Derrickson. The first feature film in the series introduced us to The Grabber, a sinister serial killer who kidnaps and kills kids in 1970s Denver. It's based on the short story by Joe Hill, and stars Mason Thames, Ethan Hawke,  Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and James Ransone.

It is a supernatural horror film, and the supernatural aspect manifests as the young victims of the killer, some of whom were Finney's friends, break through to Finney, played by Mason Thames, trying to help him survive, and to his sister, Gwen, to tell her where her brother is after Finney is kidnapped by The Grabber.

Your Monster will hit Netflix just in time for you to have a scary romantic night. Caroline Lindy's monster rom-com stars Melissa Barrera, Tommy Dewey, Edmund Donovan, Kayla Foster, and Meghann Fahy in the charming story of an actress who is dumped by her caddish playwright boyfriend after she was diagnosed with cancer.

She finds the monster in her childhood home and has to bargain with him to stay, and slowly they become friends. Netflix has made a great choice with this sweet and monstrous film as their Valentine's Day movie, which works if it's your date night or even if you are on your own this year.

The zombie comedy Life After Beth stars Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan, Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines, Paul Reiser, Matthew Gray Gubler, and John C. Reilly. Zach Orfman, played by Dane DeHaan, is crushed by the death of his girlfriend Beth, but finds that she has returned from the grave, and her parents are hiding her.

Beth is not entirely a zombie and retains her personality, but becomes more traditionally zombie-like when she is emotional. The film was written and directed by Jeff Baena in his feature film debut. Baena was the writing partner of Alison Brie and was married to Aubrey Plaza.

Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney star in this all-star animated version of Charles Addams beloved comic about everyone's favorite creepy yet lovable family. It follows the Addams, who have found a new home in New Jersey after an angry mob chases them away.

A greedy reality TV show host stirs up the local populace against The Addams again, but their children, Wednesday and Pugsley, take the lead to defend their family and their home. Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon directed the film which was highly successful at the box office.

In the sequel to the 2019 film version of The Addams Family, an animated tale which stars the same actors, but adds Bill Hader as a scientist, Cyrus Strange, who claims Wednesday is his child because of her skills in science, and Javon Walton as the voice of Pugsley, who replaces Finn Wolfhard in the role. Gomez fears that the family has lost its closeness and declares that they will take a cross-country trip to reconnect.

The family is pursued by the henchmen of the mad scientist, and Wednesday begins to fear she may not be an Addams. Uncle Fester is slowly turning into an octopus because of Wednesday's successful experiment on him, which complicates matters. Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon return as directors in this delightfully ghoulish animated feature.

Director Gareth Edwards's sequel, Jurassic World: Rebirth, is the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise. Written by David Koepp, it features Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ed Skrein, and a whole lot of dinosaurs.

A secret team of experts goes to Île Saint-Hubert to get blood samples for a medical treatment from three different dinosaurs among the dangerous and mutated creatures found on the island. Jurassic World: Rebirth continues the Jurassic World series with an all-new cast, new director, and story, but with the talents of the original Jurassic Park writer, Koepp.
