Ari Aster's genre-blending Eddington hits theaters on July 18, with A24 today releasing a new featurette of first look footage and behind-the-scenes details of the pandemic Western.

The fourth feature from the Hereditary and Midsommar director stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler, and follows a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Phoenix) and a mayor (Pascal) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deirdre Oโ€™Connell, Clifton Collins Jr., Micheal Ward and Luke Grimes also star, with Aster producing Eddington alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner.

Today's new featurette from A24 goes behind-the-scenes with Pascal, Phoenix, Stone and Butler, as well as fleshing out more of the eponymous town and giving us more than a few unpleasant flashbacks to mid-COVID chaos – nasal swabs, anyone?
