On the heels of her Oscar nomination for playing the delightfully dastardly Aunt Gladys in Weapons, Amy Madigan has already found her next project. Variety reports that the newly-minted nominee has joined the cast of All the Sinners Bleed, Netflixโ€™s series adaptation of the horror novel of the same name.ย

Madigan will guest star in the series as Scarlett Cunningham, alongside star แนขแปpแบนฬ Dรฌrรญsรน as the first Black sheriff in a Bible Belt county on the hunt for a religiously motivated serial killer. The series is also set to star John Douglas Thompson, Nicole Beharie, Murray Bartlett, Giancarlo Esposito, David Lyons, Donald Elise Watkins, Mackenzie Astin, Jordan M. Cox, Cullen Moss, Angus Oโ€™Brien, Cranston Johnson, Christopher Matthew Cook, Christopher Thornton, and Bill Oberst Jr.

All the Sinners Bleed is based on S.A. Cosbyโ€™s novel, which was nominated for the Goodreads Choice Awards and shortlisted for the Los Angeles Timesโ€™ Book Prize in 2023, as well as earning Anthony and ITW Awards for best hardcover novel. Currently in production in Atlanta, the series adaptation is overseen by Joe Robert Cole, who serves as executive producer, showrunner, writer, and director of several episodes.ย

All the Sinners Bleed is the first project to be announced for Madigan in the wake of her nomination for Best Supporting Actress for Weapons, her second nomination after being shortlisted in the same category in 1986 for Twice in a Lifetime. The Netflix series is just the latest in a long line of television projects for the actress, a list which also includes the Penny Dreadful spinoff City of Angels and shows like Law & Order, Fringe, and ER.ย
