In space, no one can hear you screamโ€ฆbut it does have its own soundtrack, and now, Mutant is releasing it on vinyl. The premiere merch company has partnered with FX and Hollywood Records to release a special version of Jess Russoโ€™s score for Alien: Earth, the latest installment in the iconic sci-fi franchise helmed by Noah Hawley.

The soundtrack continues Russoโ€™s collaboration with Hawley, having also worked on Lucy in the Sky, Fargo, and Legion, with homages to Jerry Goldsmithโ€™s original Alien score in amongst new elements that represent the seriesโ€™ earthly setting. The double album features artwork by Luke Preece, with a gatefold jacket and an acrylic O-card featuring the Weyland-Yutani Corporation logo. Both discs are pressed on 140g blue vinyl, and are available for pre-order now on Mutantโ€™s website

Alien: Earth, created by Hawley, stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El. The synopsis for the series reads as follows:

When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planetโ€™s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series โ€œAlien: Earth.โ€ As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors among the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. With this new threat unlocked, the search crew must fight for survival and what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.

Alien: Earth is set two years before the original Ridley Scott film, released in 1979, and marks the first time the franchise has come to television. It follows last yearโ€™s Alien: Romulus, the seventh film in the franchise and the most recent after Scottโ€™s Alien: Covenant in 2017.

Alien: Earth is available to stream now on Hulu. Check out Mutantโ€™s new vinyl below:
