Land of the Giants, Allen's fourth science-fiction TV series, saw a spacecraft piloted by Gary Conway's Captain Steve Burton crash land on to the titular planet. Land of the Giants premiered on ABC in the fall of 1968 and ran for two seasons.

Known as “the Master of Disaster”, Allen also created the Lost in Space series which aired between 1965 and 1968. Allen passed away in 1991.
