The Hell House LLC franchise has some big news. Ahead of the release of Hell House LLC: Lineage, Terror Films Releasing has announced that itโ€™s teaming up with Iconic Events to bring the fifth โ€” and supposedly final โ€” installment of the franchise to the big screen. No exact date has been set, but itโ€™s expected to hit theaters in August, ahead of its premiere on Shudder in October.

The film will see the return of numerous characters from other installments in the franchise, including the Carmichael siblings from Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor, as well as Elizabeth Vermilyea as Vanessa Shephard, the resurrected documentarian from Hell House LLC: Lake of Fire. The filmโ€™s logline is as follows:

Haunted by visions and recurring nightmares years after a near-death experience, Vanessa Shepard finds herself living in the town of Abaddon, unable to break free from its unexplainable hold on her. When people around her suddenly and inexplicably begin to die, she soon uncovers her terrifying connection to the Abaddon Hotel, the Carmichael Manor and the mysterious murders that have been occurring for decades, long before Hell House LLC.

This installment of the franchise will also be shot as a narrative film, moving away from the found footage format that made the franchise so popular in the first place. โ€œThis is by far the biggest Hell House of the series, so experiencing it in a theater is definitely the best way to consume the final chapter,โ€ said director Stephen Cognetti. โ€œFor the story, scope and scares I wanted to write in Lineage, found footage was going to be too restrictive to make the film that I wanted to make. I set out to make a Hell House movie like youโ€™ve never seen and I promise you wonโ€™t be disappointed in the change of format.โ€

โ€œWhat many fans donโ€™t know, is that we attempted a theatrical release with the original Hell House LLC, but we could not secure partners back then due to it being an unproven IP,โ€ added Terror Films CEO Joe Dain. โ€œWe had a smaller, theatrical release set for Origins until we lost our window due to Taylor Swiftโ€™s Eras Tour. This is truly a film for the fans, and weโ€™re excited to finally bring this franchise to the big screen. Itโ€™s better late than never and weโ€™re thrilled to support this release.โ€

No exact date has been set for Hell House LLC: Lineageโ€™s theatrical release, but stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates as they arrive.
