Dinosaur lovers of the world (and those who like to collect LEGO sets), this one’s for you. Universal Pictures is bringing some brand new dino action our way this summer in the form of Jurassic World Rebirth, which looks to be a new beginning for the long-running franchise. Based on the first trailer, director Gareth Edwards didn’t skimp on the man-made prehistoric monsters. But several of the beasts are cloaked or only seen partially in the trailer. Fortunately, we now have a much better look at some of these dinosaurs, courtesy of the folks at LEGO.

The toy company has announced several new Jurassic World Rebirth sets that will be released in early June tied to the release of the film, which hits theaters on July 2. These sets will arrive about a month before that and they include quite a few dinosaurs we’ll be seeing in the film. Not only do we get a new look at the T-rex, as well as a full look at the Velociraptors, but we also get to see the Mosasaurus and the Spinosaurus in their entirety. Check it out.

Now, admittedly, these are in LEGO form and it’s tough to imagine them being as brutally violent as they’re promised to be in the film itself. That said, it does give us a better sense of the design of the creatures. Keep in mind, the film takes place on a new island, namely the original Jurassic Park research facility, which means these are dinos we’ve not seen in the previous films. Not for nothing but we also get a look at a pretty cute baby Aquilops, on top of everything else. Here’s a full breakdown of each of the six sets…
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth Baby Dinosaur Dolores: Aquilops (76970) – 339 pieces / $24.99
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth Raptor Off-Road Escape (76972) – 285 pieces / $34.99
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking Mission (76973) – 582 pieces / $99.99
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth Brick-Built Mosasaurus Boat Mission (76974) – 858 pieces / $59.99
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth T. rex River Escape (76975) – 199 pieces / $49.99
- LEGO Jurassic World Rebirth Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Air Mission (76976) – 984 pieces / $149.99
The new film was written by David Koepp, who penned the script for the original Jurassic Park. Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and Jonathan Bailey topline the cast. Benjamin Liboriussen, LEGO Jurassic World Designer at the LEGO Group, had this to say about the collaboration.
“Our LEGO Jurassic World sets bring to life the excitement and adventure of thrilling dinosaurs and favorite scenes from the popular franchise, inspiring creativity and storytelling through play and exploration – just like in the movies. It was a lot of fun for the team to create these new LEGO sets inspired by Jurassic World Rebirth and watching some sneak peaks of what fans can expect was beyond cool!”
These sets will be available starting June 1 via www.LEGO.com/Jurassicworld. For more, get the latest on the upcoming video game Jurassic Park: Survival.
