Netflix's upcoming Fear Street: Prom Queen has officially been dated for release with a new video featuring the one and only R.L. Stine.
In an exclusive video for IGN Fan Fest 2025, the author and creator of the Fear Street series teases “another chapter of Fear Street”, before the clip confirms that the slasher will hit the streamer on May 23, 2025.
Fear Street: Prom Queen follows Leigh Janiak's original Fear Street trilogy (Part I: 1994, Part II: 1978 and Part III: 1666), which was released onto Netflix over three consecutive weeks back in 2021. The newest addition to the Fear Street series is directed by Matt Palmer:
โWelcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway, and the schoolโs wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of โ88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.โ
Fear Street 1988: Prom Queenโs ensemble cast includes India Fowler (The Nevers, Insomnia), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket, The Idol), Fina Strazza (Paper Girls, Above the Shadows), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cinnamon), Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), Chris Klein (Sweet Magnolias, American Pie), Lili Taylor (Outer Range, Manhunt) and Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From, Perry Mason).
