Celebrate 40 Years Of RE-ANIMATOR With Renegade Film Festival

The legendary Barbara Crampton will be honored with 2025 Renegade Horror Icon Lizzie at the Georgia-based fest.

Can you believe it's been 40 whole years since Stuart Gordon's iconic sci-fi horror comedy Re-Animator? To celebrate, Georgia's Renegade Film Festival are hosting a special screening of the Lovecraftian tale – and that's not all.

Re-Animator star and FANGORIA fave Barbara Crampton will be honored with the 2025 Renegade Horror Icon Lizzie, are handcrafted by artist and sculptor Karl Libecap.

Plus, Re-Animator themed cocktails, Re-Animator cotton candy, and some special Re-Animator themed Renegade merch will be available to satiate all your gooey needs.

Renegade will take place Friday, February 21 and Saturday, February 22nd culminating with the awards ceremony at Saturday evening at the Strand Theatre in Marietta, GA.

Alongside Re-Animator, Renegade have already announced some of their early selection films, selected to promote diversity and inclusion within the independent film scene. So far on the slate, you can catch the following features and shorts at Renegade (with more to come!):
